A good American Allen's Patent single-shot percussion bar hammer pistol of the style known as a  Bootleg" pistol .32 caliber. circa 1840-1845. The hammer marked "ALLEN's PATENT". Ethan Allen (September 2, 1808 – January 7, 1871) was a major American arms manufacturer from Massachusetts. Engraved frame, two-piece wooden grips. Good condition, action works fine. A nice honest piece of American Wild West history. Overall length 5 inches. 
This is an obsolete antique pistol and is sold as a collector's item only.
