Fine & in Original Box Made in 1964!
Here we present a desirable 3-Screw Frame Ruger Single Six Convertible .22 Long Rifle/Magnum in the Original Box, made in Southport, Connecticut in 1964. The Ruger Single Six is a decades old classic that is still in production with Ruger. This one is a Convertible model which features both a .22 Long Rifle cylinder (which can also fire shorts) as well as a separate and interchangeable .22 Magnum cylinder. This is the revolver that many grew up learning to shoot with and it is versatile for both target and hunting.
This one features the “Old Model” 3-Screw frame and lacks the transfer bar safety that the new ones have. Many prefer this old design for its light and crisp trigger pull, and this one has an excellent trigger. This one is housed in the original black, red and gold box and retains the small cardboard box and red velvet sack for the alternate cylinder. This comes from a good friend’s late father’s collection and all proceeds will go to the family.
The overall condition is excellent. The original blue finish is virtually complete. The markings are clear. The grips are in fine shape and feature the trademark eagle medallion. The bore is clean, bright and sharp. The action is crisp and excellent. The original box is in very good condition. What an amazing set for the one who grew up shooting the Ruger Single Six Convertible Revolver!
