Description:
This is a late production model 99M in the lightweight configuration, with the aluminum butt plate and lighter barrel. This rifle has the ambidextrous slide safety on top of the receiver, brass shell counter, factory D&T for scope mounting, factory sling loops, high comb walnut stock, pistol grip cap, checkered wood, and gold plated trigger. This model was built in the early 60's, and incorporated all these great features, to make it one of the nicest 99's ever built. The blue on this rifle is all original and rates a strong 98+%, with virtually no cary wear or blems. The stock shows only a few light handling marks, with nice sharp checkering, and what appears to be a repair to a chip at the tang. All script and other barrel markings are crisp as day one. The bore of the 24 inch barrel is in excellent condition, and the gun has it's original sight package intact. This rifle shows little use, and has been well cared for over the past 55 or so years. This is a real unaltered survivor that would mak a nice addition to any 99 collection. $850.00 plus $45 S&I
