Description:
Extremely hard to find. Ammo is in great condition. Head stamp is Peters .25-20 MARLIN.
Will be boxed in a plain white box with foam insert for better storage.

A little history on 25-20 caliber: Circa 1895, Winchester developed the 25-20 caliber by necking down their 32-20 Winchester caliber.
2 years prior, Marlin had already invented this new caliber, and called it the 25-20 Marlin.
Winchester, being a stronger company, pushed their 25-20 ammo so strongly, the 'Marlin' caliber faded out of existence.
It is believed that this is the reason why there were so many model 1892 Winchesters chambered for 25-20, which way outnumbered any other caliber chambered for that model.
The 2 calibers are the same, and are interchangeable.
To find ammo with a MARLIN headstamp is extremely rare.

I have hundreds of boxes of vintage ammo and ammo boxes to list, so please check out my other listings.   Shipping will be $12 for the first box and $5 for each additional box. All boxes are heat shrink wrapped after photos are taken to help preserve the boxes.
