Description:
This is a model 12 Winchester 12 ga. 28" Mod. barrel with a 2 3/4" chamber. This gun was built in 1948 with a 2 bead solid rib. The gun has more then likely been re-stocked with fantastic wood of the trap level quality, with factory pattern checkering and a pistol grip cap. LOP is 14", and 13 1/8" to the Pachmayr recoil pad, so it may not be cut. The stocks are near flawless, with a nice smooth finish. The gun displays excellent original metal finish at 95%, with only a few handling marks. There is one mark on the top left of the receiver that I purposely photographed. The gun funtions flawlessly, takes down and reassembles tightly, and is appealing to the eye. The 28" Mod. barrel is not real common with the solid rib. All the barrel script is clear and crisp, as are the matching serial numbers and proof marks, which is an indication of original finish to the metal.
