Description:
This custom rifle was built on a commercial 98 Mauser action. Chambered in .375 Holland & Holland Magnum, the Bohler Spezial 26 Inch barrel is half octagon half round with a full length tapered matted rib with a two leaf express rear sight and an integral base front sight. The action is fitted with Conetrol bases and is factory drilled and tapped for a receiver rear sight. The walnut stock is highly figured with a Rosewood grip cap and forearm tip and it is expertly checkered. The bore is excellent and it has probably not been shot much, but the rifle has been hunted with and shows some carry wear, and a few small rust spots on the floorplate and barrel. This is a beautifully made custom rifle at a great price.
NOTE: Since this rifle was photographed the Conetrol bases have been removed and plug screws installed.
