Description:
General Specs: Winchester, Year 1926, 25-20 wcf, 6lbs 10oz, LOP 13"
Serial Number: 6244

I really love the old Winchester Deluxe rifles.  You can just imagine the look on the cowboy’s face when the crate came with his new special-order rifle.  The gorgeous wood, special sights, and fine factory finishes would bring jealous envy from all his friends.  This fine Model 53 special order rifle, sn6244 shipped in 1928, was past the “OLD WEST’ days, but still must have brought the same pride and joy to the new owner.  Shipped from the factory with several special-order features including Lyman No. 2A tang peep sight with disc, Lyman No. 6 folding leaf sight in the dovetail slot on the barrel, matching Lyman front sight, and the take down option, this is a rare version of the short-lived Model 53, which was only produced from 1924 through 1932.  It is becoming increasingly difficult to find these fine rifles with much of the original factory finish remaining and this rifle has not been molested in anyway.  It is in AMAZING FACTORY ORIGINAL CONDITION, WITH 98% BARREL BLUE, PERFECT BORE AND RIFLING, EXCELLENT SCREWS, 70% RECEIVER BLUE (with some freckling), 97% LEVER BLUE, 98% LOADING GATE BLUE, AND MOST ALL OF ITS ORIGINAL FACTORY FINISH ON THE WOOD.  What a great piece of history in this 93-year-old rifle.  With the high, factory original condition, takedown feature, and special sights, this is a very hard to find Winchester Model 53 in collector condition and a grand investment vehicle for your hard-earned money.  The best of the Winchesters continue to climb in value and this one sure qualifies.  Ammunition is readily available for this fine 6 1/2lb. rifle, so you could even take the gun afield or to the range and have fun shooting and hunting with this amazing Winchester!  You won’t see another one like this for a long time.  Thanks for looking!
