With LOW, EARLY 3 Digit Serial Number!
Here we present an antique Smith & Wesson Model Number 1-1/2 .32 S&W Revolver, made circa 1878 in Springfield, Massachusetts. This revolver features a low, serial number that makes this an early gun. This was made for the everyman who didn’t necessarily carry a gun or guns on his hips. Rather, this was made to be very portable. It is small and light enough to slip into a pocket so as to be undetectable and not burdensome to the user. 5 shots of .32 S&W would hopefully be enough for most to ward off most dangers in the late-1870s. It features an automatic star ejector that kicks out the empties upon opening, as well as a rebounding hammer for safe carry with a full cylinder. This is a very nice little revolver and this one remains in fine shape!
The overall condition is very fine. The original nickel finish is 98% with good case colors on the hammer. The markings are clear. The numbers match. The trademarked hard rubber grips are in fine shape. The bore is clean with sharp rifling. The action is excellent. Here is a very nice S&W revolver from the glory days of the Old West!
