Description:
This is a beautiful Military & Police Model 10-5 .38 Special snub-nose revolver made by Smith & Wesson. It has the less-frequently encountered 2" barrel and a square butt frame. The grips are original and serial numbered to the revolver. The beautiful factory gloss blue finish on this Smith rates 98% with the only deductions coming from a few tiny marks in the finish on the left side of the gun. As you can see from the pictures, these little marks are only visible under very close inspection and do not detract from the clean overall look of this Model 10. The factory case colored hammer and trigger also rate 98% and show bright, beautiful colors on both parts. The bore in the 2" inch barrel is mirror-bright and pristine, with nice sharp rifling throughout and no visible imperfections. The cylinder bores are equally as clean and like-new. The action on this Model 10-5 is perfectly "in time" and smooth, with an exceptional trigger when operated in single-action. This Military & Police S&W has likely spent it's entire life in a sock drawer and is possibly unfired since leaving the factory. We can not find any evidence on the cylinder face, bore, or forcing cone of the gun being fired, nor is there evidence of cleaning/polishing to remove carbon, etc. If you have been looking for a "collector grade" Military & Police Model 10 here it is. The only way you could upgrade from this 1969 example would be the addition of the original box.
