Manufactured from the 1840's to 1850, with only a few hundred made and not often
encountered, is this Allen & Thurber "Shotgun Hammer Pepperbox".
The barrel flat is marked "ALLEN & THURBER / WORCESTER / CAST-STEEL".
Serial Number 186, has a 4 inch barrel. ALL IN Very Good Condition, the finish is an
uncleaned patina with Crisp well Defined Engraving, .31 Caliber... Mechanically Excellent.
