Winchesters Model of 1886 Sporting Rifle .38/70wcf. very rare caliber. The serial number of this example is 104097 placing date of manufacture in 1896. Overall condition is very good with most of the finish toned to a grey / blue patina. The bore is exceptional bright and shiny with strong rifling. The bore will rate an 8.5 on a 1 to 10 scale, well cared for. Caliber markings are present, very faint. The action is tight, smooth and mechanically perfect.
