This Sako Model M-39 is a right hand bolt action rifle in 7.62x54R Cal. It has a 27 inch barrel with front and middle sights. The stock is a smooth hardwood semi-pistol grip with a smooth grip two piece hardwood forearm and finger grooves. 1942D is stamped on the barrel top. SA in a square is stamped on the barrel left side. The M-39 is considered by some to be the finest of all Mosins and the finest of all military bolt action rifles made.
