Description:
Very nice old J Henry & Son model Navy 1860 half stock 41 double trigger cal rifle. Nice deep clear anchor stamp behind trigger guard. German silver blade front sight with buckhorn rear sight. Nice dark brown patina on iron. Bore nice clean and shiny with no rust, pitting nor lead visable as far down as I can light. Grooves present but not too deep. Good wood except for a good repair job on a crack near lockplate. Wood has been oiled. Good strong spring, set trigger hard and tight. Hair trigger on firing trigger. Octagional barrel is 35 1/2 inches long.
