Description: Serial #MT6618, .22 LR, 6 5/8" slab-sided barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a 1939-made pistol that has retained 95-97% of the original blue finish with some mild silvering at the muzzle, along the high edges, and some small bright gray spots along the barrel. The original, checkered walnut, Colt medallion, “Elephant Ear" grips are intact and have scattered minor handling marks and small surface blemishes, along with some flattening of the points. The pistol is mechanically excellent and comes with a single original two-tone Match Target marked magazine. This is a splendid example of a rare and desirable Match Target Woodsman, and rates excellent condition overall.
