Winchester Model 1886. S/N : 559xx. Made in 1891. Fairly scarce 40-65 caliber. ( It was the 4th most popular cartridge after the 45-70, 45-90, and the 40-82. ) 26" octagon barrel. someinial blue but not much. Mostly a blue-brown-grey patina. Wood had a coat of varnish added but as far as I can tell has not been sanded. ( but I am far from being an expert on such things. That's what was told to me when I bought it. ) No cracks but a very old forearm boo-boo that has in time become smooth. Crisp perfect action. Very good bore with only minor pitting. No buggered screwheads.inial iron sights. Will include a serial number search letter from Cody. Decent 128 year old Winchester. Starline sells 40-65 brass. Antique, no FFL required.
