Description:
Serial #36174, .380 Revolvler, 4" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a handy little small frame revolver that has matching numbers on the frame, cylinder, and barrel and retains 95% of the original blue finish with fading and silvering along the exposed edges, and a mild turn-ring on the cylinder. The trigger guard has begun to turn a dark purple color over time but the finish is original and there are some areas of mild surface freckling on the brightly finished hinge components, trigger, and hammer. The square-butt, checkered walnut grips are in fine condition with only some minor wear and handling marks on either side. The barrel lock-up is tight and the mechanism is fully functional. These were commercial guns, made without holster guides, but were numbered in the Webley Mk. IV .38 Service Revolver range. This is an excellent example of a seldom seen Mk. III .38 revolver.
