If you have been looking for top-condition Norinco Type 56 SKS for your collection that really stands out from the crowd, this is it! This Triangle 404 factory (Norinco) Type 56 SKS is a spectacular all-matching rifle in an original Chinese Military "jungle" type stock made of polymer/fiberglass. Imported by Poly U.S.A. in Atlanta Georgia sometime between 1987 and 1992, this SKS remains in excellent condition and likely has spent it's entire life in storage since coming to the States. It shows no rebuilt marks or evidence of being refinished and retains the original factory finish. The original factory gloss blue finish rates 98%, with only some very minor handling/storage marks accounting for the 2% deduction. The top cover, bolt body, upper bolt section, extractor, triggerguard, magazine housing, gas tube, and receiver are all factory serial numbered and matching, all having stamped numbers except for the extractor which was electropenciled from the factory. As you can see in the pictures, the import mark located on the left side of the receiver on this SKS is very small and does not stick out as an eyesore like a lot of them do. The factory chrome-lined bore in this Type 56 is perfect, mirror-bright with sharp rifling and zero visible imperfections. The original bolt assembly which was left "in the white" from the factory is still clean and bright. There is none of the typical pitting and deep staining you see on these bolts, only a few very small spots of superficial light staining that could be cleaned off by the new owner if he or she so chooses. This Triangle 404 SKS has a folding blade-type bayonet with a blued lower section and bright blade, and the original cleaning rod is in place. This blade bayonet is in perfect shape with no damage or wear to any part of the assembly, and it locks properly folded or extended. The Chinese Military "jungle stock" set on this rifle is really a cool feature, designed to be impervious to the harsh conditions in high-humidity environments. The finished fiberglass is a very attractive red-brown and in excellent condition, free from any cracks, chips, or repairs. Outside of a few small handling marks it appears just like the day it was made. This jungle stock comes with a steel saddle-shaped lower sling mount and the standard steel buttplate with a trap for a cleaning kit. This Norinco SKS is in absolutely perfect working order, with crisp controls and a smooth and precise action. The internals of this SKS are just as clean and pristine as the exterior, showing no mechanical wear. The bolt locks back properly on an empty magazine, and it slams forward into battery when loaded. We have no doubt that this SKS will shoot just as accurately and reliably today as it did when it left the factory 43 years ago. This is really one of the nicer Chinese Type 56 SKS rifles we have had in some time and should be an excellent long-term investment.
