A vintage box of Winchester Ranger 12 gauge shotshells in the pointer box.
Catalog number G7871/2C. They're 2-5/8 inch shells loaded with 1-1/8 ounces of chilled No. 7-1/2 shot.
Inspection of the shells reveals that there are two Winchester Expert rounds mixed in. One 2-5/8" and on3 2-3/4". They're the same paper hull, same color, and only the base shows they're different.
The shells are nice and clean with clean bases, not corroded or heavily tarnished. Not factory-bright anymore, but still looking good.
The box is good. The top edge of the front panel is fairly frayed from handling and the edges show wear. But there's no stains or wrinkles or added writing or any of the other common detractions. Not a bad looking box.
