This rifle is in good condition overall. The barrel has a few spots of surface pitting but none of them are active. Other than the spots of pitting there are minor handling marks. The stock is in good condition as well with minor handling marks in the form of shine lines from rubbing. The bore is in excellent condition with healthy shine and rifling.Whether you plan on punching holes in paper or sending prairie dogs to their maker; this rifle is what you need. The heavy barrel provides rigidity to enhance accuracy and Savage's patented AccuTrigger will squeeze the most out of the human/rifle connection. The widened fore end helps keep the rifle planted on whatever rest you opt for; since at over 9lbs this rifle is not really intended to hiked around with all day.
