We are offering an L.C. Smith Featherweight Ideal, one of many pieces from the private collection of firearms and outdoors retailer/distributor Lew Horton.
This Ideal is serial number 81943 was manufactured in 1925. The 30” barrels are marked “London Steel” and have dual ivory beads. The butt plate may be a replacement given its fit to the stock (see Image 17).
The Cody Museum the Factory Letter has confirmed the configuration of this shotgun.
