Description:
Brown Bess Replica .75 caliber or 10 gauge musket. It was customary to shoot 12 gauge or .69 caliber balls in these guns. This would allow a number of shots to be fired before the gun became fouled. The volume of fire was what was so deadly not to mention a lead ball of over 1 ounce hitting flesh and bone. It has a 42 inch barrel and weighs 9 pounds 5 ounces. The flint lock is marked "Grice 1762" Over all in very good condition. Would be correct for a reinactor, hunter or a wall hanger. No paperwork required.
