Description:
This Colt was produced in 1937. The pistol's serial number is C-184134. It is the standard style government model pistol. The original 5 inch barrel is in very fine condition. The barrel blue is intact with the correct high polish ejection port surface. The lands are sharp and clean. The slide is serial numbered to the frame. The serial number placement is behind the firing pin retaining plate. The magazine is the correct civilian two tone magazine with the bottom high polish floor plate stamped " Colt 45 Auto". The original grips are in fine condition with no cracks or chips. There are two spots of pressure point coppression on the left grip. The diamond point checkering is otherwise sharp with very light wear. All the parts are correct and original to this pistol. The slide original bluing is very strong with light muzzle high point wear. The bluing would rate a 98% overall on the slide. The original frame bluing would rate a 96% overall condition. The most wear is by the front grip strap area. The pistol locks up tight and functions correctly. This pistol shows light use and wear. It has been well cared for all these years! This is a fine condition pre World War Two Colt 1911-A1. Any collector would be happy to own a Colt as nice as this pistol is! Search for hlvfineguns on google for more details.
