#34243, Joe Balickie Engraved Custom Pre-64 Model 70 in 30-06, By Balickie in 1977, A full featured and complete custom with very nice metal and stock work 22" Half Round / Half Octagon barrel, Neat 1/4 rib that is integral with the front scope base, 1 folding rear sight, Band front ramp, Barrel band sling eye, Lever release Quick Detachable rings, Leupold 1.5 x 5, Model 70 bottom metal with the trigger guard profiled with a rolled edge, A 3-position Model 70 wing safety, Two panel teardrop bolt knob checkering, Checkered bolt stop release, Model 70 trigger; Jeweled bolt, follower and receiver rail; The floorplate, trigger guard, skeleton buttplate and skeleton grip cap all Engraved by Colt's former Master Engraver Mr. Ken Hurst and signed accordingly, He also engraved for the Winchester Custom Shop, Balickie classic stock on an excellent piece of English Walnut with great black/brown contrast, Classic Balickie complete and full wrap around Fleur-De-Lis checkering pattern with a ribbon in both panels, Shadowline cheekpiece, Skeleton grip cap, 13 3/4" LOP over an engraved skeleton buttplate, 7 lbs. 2 oz. as an open sighted rifle, 7 lbs. 15 oz. with the scope mounted, The piece remains totally original and overall it remains at 97% since it left the hands of Joe Balickie in 1977.
