Description:
We are offering a L.C. Smith Specialty in .410, one of many pieces from the private collection of firearms and outdoors retailer/distributor Lew Horton.
Serial number 9733 has good bluing and case color. Bluing on the barrels seems to be original, while the triggers and trigger guard have a deeper blue (black) than the gray bluing on the rest of the piece. The wood on the English/straight stock and forend show little signs of use. The serial number indicates a 1919 manufacture, this is one of only 40 Specialty .410s made (L.C. Smith Production Records/Stubbendieck).
