We are offering a L.C. Smith No. 2 in 12 gauge, one of many pieces from the private collection of firearms and outdoors retailer/distributor Lew Horton.
This No. 2, serial number 123320 has good case color, bluing, and beautiful wood with normal signs of use, visible in the images. It was completed October 17th, 1904.
The barrels have “Hunter Arms Co. Fulton N.Y” on the barrel rib and a single brass bead.
There is an inlay of a dog on the forend and duck/bobwhite engravings on the right/left sides of the receiver (respectively).
The Cody Museum Firearms Records Office letter is confirms available details.
