Walther P-38, ( AC-45), Cal. 9mm, Ser. 3740c. This is a really beautiful scarce one. While not very popular it is a fact that Walther production records show the AC 45 "c" block production contained a large quantity of guns that were mismatched at the factory. The war was going badly at this point and using what ever was on hand was mandatory. This is indeed a "c" block factory mismatch. The slide is numbered 6514 c , the barrel group 8245c. Please note that all parts are "c" block. The condition of the gun is almost as "unissued" retaining about 99.99% of the original factory finish. The tiny loss there is, is contained to the very slightest sharp edge silvering. The front grip strap has no sign of graying. There is no rust, scratches, or rub marks anywhere. There is not even any holster wear. The slide and barrel group are stamped Eagle/359. The proper brown mottled grips are absolutely perfect. The slide rails, bolt face and feed show very little or no signs of use. The barrel like the rest of the gun is pristine. Thebarrel is pristine lke the rest of then. The rifling is sunshine bright with razor sharp rifling. Not a touch of frost anywhere. It comes with one correct P-38 stamped magazine. Interestingly, the follower shows no trace of having any cartridges slide on it. I'll bet this "Factory Queen" was in the plant when the allies took it over. Besides being a great investment it is a prize for the collector or bull's eye blaster .....SHIPPED....$995.
