Payment Types Accepted: Money Order, Certified Check Description: These Military Rolling Block Rifles were made at the US Springfield Armory from 1871-1872 under a licensing agreement from the Remington Arms Company. Upper tang has the Remington Patents with Model 1871 and year of manufacture "1872" stamped on the action. Left side of stock has a US Inspector's Cartouche. Overall, NRA Antique Very Good Condition with the action worn to a smooth grey with nice markings and edges...bright traces of original case colors visible in the protected area of the swivel portion of the trigger guard. Barrel is bright as these were left in the white by Sprinfield. Excellent Bore. Very Good Wood overall. Nice example of an early breech-loading US Army Infantry Rifle from the Indian Wars era that pre-dates the Springfield Trapdoor Model 1873.
