Early model '66 in outstanding overall condition. All early model features are present, and correct.....receiver flare at forearm, single upper tang screw, serial number on left side of lower tang, indented loading port cover with single screw, first style two leaf rear sight, and first pattern barrel band. Brass buttplate has a trapdoor with 3 piece steel cleaning rod inside.
Best feature of this rifle is the Henry Patent barrel address, stamped, "HENRY'S PATENT OCT 16 1860/KINGS PATENT MARCH 29 1866"
