This Winchester M-1892 Cal 25-20 - Serial No. 846864 , Mfg abt 1916 - is the "Fancy Sporting Rifle" w/a 24" Full Octagen Barrel, Checkered Walnut pistol-grip stock w/a checkered capped forearm & it is in overal excellent condition. The bluing is about 95%
w/no defects. The butt stock is about 100% w/no issues and the capped forearmw/the ring is the same. The cherkering is excellent
It looks as if it came out of a fresh new box. It was an earlier restoration to it's original condition by Art's Gun Shop (Art Issacson-
the owner and formerly with Browning - Winchester of Arnold, MO did himself proud w/this meticulous piece). The action is as new
the w/a flawless smooth tight feeling.Itcontainsall of it's original parts.
If you look closely at the the wood you will see the beautiful swirls and subtle contrast of deep esquisite walnut that Winchester used
in this period. The bore has the original twist and is average for that period.
