This is the holly grail of Colts, only one rearer is the pinch frame only 200 of them made. The Single Action army flattop target only made 925.
Colt only made 30 of these in this caliber (32S&W) so what happend to the other 29 in the last 129 years. Boy that makes this baby pretty rare!
A little info about this gun, when I got the Colt letter I called Colt and was told the original buyer only bough one Colt and it was shipped to his home and reloading shop. So we know when he got it and who used it I was also told by Colt he was a target shooter so we know who even used this flattop target pistol WOW! The holster is the one original to the gun sad to say the gun was kept in the holster for over the past 100 or more years. The holster ate the finish off most of frame and cylinder. The Barrel and ejector housing have 65 to 75 % original blue, I have never tried to clean the gun. It looks like it was fitted sholder stock. The action is spot on the only trouble was it was kept in that dam holster.
This antique colt shipped (1890) and is exactly as stated in the Colt factory letter.
