Erfurt Artillery P-08, Cal 9mm, Ser. 72XX. Dated 1914.
My friends there is no serious P-08 collection complete without one of these very modestly priced artillery Lugers. DWM manufactured 151,000 from 1914-1918. However, Erfurt, the German Arsenal made a only 21,000 in 1914 only. This one is a real nice example retaining about 90-95% of the original Arsenal blue. The loss is contained to sharp edge silvering, the usual side plate wear and light scattered pinpricks. The strawed parts are faded to bright also with tiny scattered pin pricks. All parts match except the trigger. The wooden checkered grips do indeed match and are flawless, no splits chips or dings and surprisingly, not even any flattened points. They also match. All the proper parts are also Crown/D proofed. The bore is really quite nice. The rifling is well defined with light scattered frost. The gun also features the rare front and rear sight "Fine Tune" adjustment system. It comes with one correct non-matching wooden based magazine. A really great investment, a beauty for the collection and it comes with our "Purchase Satisfaction Guarantee"....... Shipped..... $3495.
