We are offering a L.C. Smith Field in 20 gauge, one of many pieces from the private collection of firearms and outdoors retailer/distributor Lew Horton.
This Field, serial number 149747, made in 1936, has Armor Steel barrels that display good bluing with some wear on the ends of the barrel and scuff on the right barrel (image 15). The cases color is good, with normal wear on the bottom edges. The wood is in good condition as well, with minimal marks and has capped pistol grip.
The Cody Museum Firearms Records Office letter confirms available details.
