RARE GERMAN ORIGINAL BUCHEL MEISTER 22LR CAL. SCHUETZEN RIFLE CIRCA 1926-27. Serial number in the 43xx range. 31” octagon barrel stamped “5.3” on underside for 22 Long Rifle. With rear sight (missing spacer base) and palm rest. Original globe insert front sight. Case colored frame and blued matted rail octagon barrel. Frame stamped behind breech “BUCHEL/ORIGINAL/MEISTER”. Walnut Schuetzen stock and forend. All original and matching. Very good overall with much original case colors and most of the original blue. Wood with the original finish showing moderate dings and wear. Working order except the double triggers which do no set correctly. Very fine bore. Scarce with only a handful known in 22LR caliber.
