NAPOLEONIC Antique FRENCH Briquet INFANTRY Sword
Light Sidearm to the French Infantry & Artillery
Here we present an antique French Infantry Briquet, a short, curved bladed sword, carried by French infantry as a weapon of last resort during the Napoleonic Wars. The blade is 27 inches in length, and still bears faint maker’s markings and a number. The handle and guard are made of solid brass. The grip is ribbed for traction. The guard is a simple D-shape. Here is a very cool blade for those of you interested in French warfare. Condition is very good.
