Custom Alex Hoyer rifle in "Wild Cat" 30-338. Built on a desireable Smith Corona Springfield 03 chassis. Recoil pad, scope mounts, recessed crown bbl. Wood has some marks, metal glossy and good. This round is a hi-power big game cartridge. The parent casing to this one is either 7mm mag or 338 win mag. Sling mounts on. Per photos, this gun comes with 4 boxes of complete rounds and 2 boxes of "parent" rounds-.338 win mag. Also RCBS custom dies for reloading this caliber, one box of projectiles and helpful loading notes. So this package is set up for continued use of this monster round. Trigger on this gun is good but seems to be pretty much a standard Springfield. Bore is at 75-80% Alex Hoyer was a custom gunsmith out of Lewistown Pa, who pioneered long range big game rifles in this custom caliber. 30-338 can Also be known as .308 Norma, however cartridge cataloges show a varience in the cartridge shoulder degree of the 30-338.
