Description:
General Specs: Remington, Year 1938, .35 Rem, 6lbs 14oz
Serial Number: 19894

The Gamemaster Model 141 Remington was a continuation of the first Remington pump-action rifle, the Model 14, which was introduced in 1913.  The Model 14 was phased out in 1934 and the improved Model 141 was in production from 1935 until 1950, being replace by the Model 760.  The Gamemaster has always been a popular rifle in the South, North, and Northeast woodlands for whitetail deer, with  fast follow-up shots at the closer distances that were often encountered there.  The .35 Remington was the most sought-after caliber, as the 200 grain bullet traveling at 2100fps was devastating on both deer and black bear.  We now have Hornady’s LeverEVOLUTION ammo that travels at 2225fps with a 200 grain pointed bullet with awesome ballistics for distance shooting.  The M141 is sleek and very simple to operate, and has very attractive lines, and is still a great rifle to carry afield today.  Just think how well it would work in the south for feral hogs!  This Gamemaster, sn19894 made in 1938, is in incredible factory original condition, with 99% factory blue, perfect mirror shiny bore and strong rifling, 98% factory receiver blue, excellent screws, and crisp action.  The finish on the original stock was flaking and peeling, so we stripped it and restored the existing wood with a hand-rubbed Truoil finish and it is gorgeous and good for another 80 years.  The gun has the original butt plate and weighs just 6 3/4lbs.  You can find these guns readily for sale on the internet, and you can pay less than what we will get for this Model 141, but there are few that you will ever see in this awesome, high condition and a perfect bore.  These guns will continue to have a popular following and this gun in particular has the most desirable caliber, collector grade condition, and we even have ammunition that you can buy to go with it.  While we were restoring the wood, we stripped and cleaned the entire action, inspected all parts for function and integrity, and lubricated all properly and reassembled.  That makes this rifle a VFI CERTIFIED GUN WITH A 90 DAY MECHANICAL WARRANTY.   Who else does that on an 81 year old gun?  Don’t hesitate or this one will end up in somebody else’s gun cabinet!  Thanks for looking.
