The Ruger American is a polymer-framed, striker-fired semi-automatic pistol that is suitable for personal defense and concealed carry as well as professional duty. It features a one-piece high-performance glass-filled nylon grip frame with three grip modules for a perfect fit, a 4.5" barrel and Novak LoMount Carry 3-Dot sights. The trigger has a short takeup and a positive reset. The pistol is equipped with ambidextrous slide stop and magazine release and has an accessory rail for the addition of an optional tactical light or laser aiming device.
