This Winchester is a late 1943 production rifle. The rifle's serial number is 2328784. It has the original Winchester barrel in good condition. The muzzle is not belled out. This rifle shows no sign of ever being used with a grenade launcher. It has the short fork operating rod by Springfield. It also has the early gas single slot cap. The trigger guard group is all Winchester. The operating rod is also Winchester. The operating rod does not have the relief cut that was done after the war. The stock has the correct WRA GHD in the square. It is faded and worn but still readable. The front sight ears are the wide Winchester style. The rear sight is the correct lock bar style sight. This rifle has the original finish intact but worn in areas of exposure. The stock trap door has the correct early tools and grease pot. This Winchester has seen service use and wear. The wear shows evenly throughout this rifle The Winchester operating rod is uncut with the original finish. This rifle shows no sign of ever being in a rebuild program.
