I bought the gun because the company said it was made by Marble Firearms in Gladstone MI. Having some familiarity with Marble Arms, and having hunted a lot in Gladstone MI, I thought it would be a neat gun to have. The gun is actually a WW2 military weapon made by the Japanese. It is equipped with a Marbles Arms rear sight (this caused the company to mis-identify the firearm.) I know nothing about this gun other than what I have found on the web. The Japanese made several variations of these guns from the 1890's until about 1945. I think this is a type 38. I believe it is about 6.5 caliber. If you buy the gun you will have to get someone who really knows about military weapons to tell you what it is. The condition of the gun is very good. It retains most of its original finishes, the original military style rear sight has been replaced with a Marbles Arms Leaf sight. Stock and barrel appear to have been cut. The bore is shiny and the rifling is stong, The gun has no rust, pits, or corrosion. I will anwer any question I can but please note that I know nothing about Military rifles. Jim (248) 266-6494 This would make a neat little "brush gun" for deer or wild pigs. I stongly recommend having a competent gunsmith examine it before firing it. Nevertheless, it appears to be mechanically as good as when it left the factory. Shipping is $40. Shipping to FFL only SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes Manufacturer: Ariska Serial Number: 67917 |
