Description:
This beauty is the earliest manufacture Sig Sauer P226 we have had in quite some time.  It was manufactured in West Germany in 1985 (JF Date Code) and has the sought-after Tyson's Corner Virginia Sig Sauer address on the right side of the slide.  This Sig Sauer P226 is as complete as it gets, with the original orange factory box serial numbered to the gun, the original test target, the owner's manual, and both 15 round hi-cap factory magazines with the early "P226" stamped floorplates.  This Sig is in excellent all-original condition overall, and has obviously been shot very little and well cared-for during it's life.  The original factory finish rates 97 to 98%, with the deductions coming from a touch of high-edge wear mainly at the muzzle end, some tiny handling marks, and some blue finish wear on the barrel where it makes contact with metal when worked.  The bore is minty and mirror-bright in this pistol.  The bore has sharp lands and grooves still showing throughout the rifling, and there is no visible pitting, erosion, or imperfections whatsoever.  The original checkered black factory grips are in excellent condition overall, free from any wear, cracks, chips, or repairs.  There is one little handling mark on the right grip panel just above the top screw (pictured), otherwise the grips are in "like new" condition and perfectly tight to the gun.  All of the controls on this P226 are in perfect working order, and the slide to frame fit is nice and tight with no slop.  When worked by hand the action on this Sig is slick and precise, and the barrel goes into lock-up perfectly with no wiggle.  This Sig Sauer P226 would shoot just as reliably and accurately today as the day it left the factory 34 years ago.  These early West German Tyson's Corner Sigs have become very collectible and sought-after these days, and it is very hard to find examples like this one that are 100% complete and in such excellent all-original condition.  If you have been looking for an investment-worthy Sig Sauer P226 here is your chance to get one of the best we have had in many years.
