This is a very nice lightly-used Ruger New Model Single Six revolver chambered in .22 Long Rifle complete with the original factory fit and serial numbered .22 Magnum cylinder. Made in 1973, this Ruger was made in the very first year of the "New Model" Single Six production. The original gloss blue finish shows some minor wear and handling marks, but nothing that takes away from the overall clean look of the gun. As you can see from the pictures, this Ruger is a handsome revolver. The bore int he 6.5" inch barrel is minty and bright, with sharp rifling and no visible pitting or imperfections. Both cylinders have clean and bright chambers, free from any defects or pitting. The original American Walnut grips are in great condition, perfectly fit and tight to the gun, and free from any cracks, chips, or repairs. Like the rest of the gun, they show only some very minor handling marks. Both grips have perfect black and silver Ruger medallions. All of the controls on this Single Six are in perfect working order, and the action is perfectly "in time". When worked by hand the action is smooth and precise, and indexes properly whether it is worked fast or slow. The trigger is exceptional, breaking with a light pull with no grit, slop, or excessive travel. If you have been looking for the perfect trail or plinking gun this 1973 Ruger New Model Single Six would be an excellent choice.
