Description:
Spreewerk cyq P.38 in 9mm Luger with a 4 3/4" barrel, original sights and bakelite grips. The slide, frame and barrel are matching with serial number 9989 and the following marks, y (common mark but unknown), cyq (Spreewerk manufacture), eagle/88 (militrary acceptance stamp for the P.38 Spreewerk manufacture), and the slide has the additional mark, eagle/Nazi sign (P.38 Military Test Proof). The the back side of the magazine is stamped with, eagle/WaA706 (Spreewerk military acceptance stance) and the letters jvd (manufactured by Erste Nordboehmische Metallwarenfabrik). All identifying information from the book German Pistols and Holsters 1934/1945, Military - Police - NSDAP by Major Robert D. Wittingham III.
