This Winchester was produced in 1909. The rifle's serial number is 111762. It is chambered for the 22 Short only. The very early production Model 1906's were chambered for the 22 Short only. This rifle is one of these early guns. It has the 20 Inch standard round barrel. The sights are the original front and rear sights. The bore is in very fine to new condition. The magazine tube has the early style tube without the reinforced locking tip. The reciever is the second style with the exposed lugs. This Fine condition 1906 has about 98% original barrel and magazine blue! The reciever would rate a strong 98% or better condition! The hammer is the early style that is color cased. The color cased finish is very fine with very good color. The action is tight and smooth. The stock and smooth forend have all of the original factory finish. There are no cracks or dents or other defects on the wood. The original butt plate has no chips or damage. This is a really stunning fine condition early Model 1906! To find a early model in this fine of condition would be very difficult to near impossible today to "top". Search for hlvfineguns on google for more details.
