Description:
Serial #6678, .38 S&W, 4" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. The revolver has matching numbers on the frame, cylinder, extractor, yoke, and barrel with the metal retaining 92-95% of the original blue finish that has faded and silvered at the muzzle, as well as along the high edges, and a moderate turn-ring on the cylinder. The hammer and trigger have muted original color case-hardening with some mild fading and small specks of light freckling. The checkered diamond-center grips are in good-near very good shape, numbered to the gun in pencil on the interior. The panels have scattered minor handling marks, including a a few small chips at the butt of the right side panel and a few scattered impact marks on the butt as well. The lock-up is still tight and the mechanism functions flawlessly. This is a very good plus S&W pre-war Regulation Police revolver overall. FFL or C&R
