Description:
This sword is in fantastic original condition and is guaranteed to be true and correct !
the sword was made in the first few months of 1861 at the Memphis novelty works with only made this type sword for only two month before moving there operations,
later known as Leech & Rigdon.
These early crudely made early swords were used by the confederate Navy as a cutlass and the confederate Army used them as foot artillery swords.
The sword is completely correct as it should be, blade is the early made in the confederate style and the cast brass and copper mix handle shows a seam on both sides and no handle rivets.
I have included the original recept from the Bowlin Green Drummer from several years ago.
It was blessed by one of the Confederate experts form the Antique Road Show, and every collector or dealer I had shown it to.
If you have any questions about the the sword or any reasonable offers just text, email or call.
I like to talk about my collection.
