The metal surfaces are an even brown patina with oxidation blemishes, pitting, scratches, a series of small impact marks on the right side of the frame and light to moderate handling marks. The brass grip frame showing some impact marks, scratches and other marks. There are areas of tarnished silver plate remaining in the protected areas of the triggerguard. The one-piece walnut factory grips are numbered to the gun and rate good with dents and dings on the body but heavier impact marks on the butt and bold initials "E.T.". The scenes on the five-shot ten-slot cylinder are faint, the triggerguard strap is numbered to another gun, several of the strap's screws appear to be replacements, there is a frontier modification to remove end shake by notching the center pin and adding an ad-hoc spring clip, the wedge is a homemade replacement and the wedge screw is broken off. The overall condition as described and photographed is good – good plus. Inv. : # 12-157 SOLD Antique: Yes |
