#482 Griffin & Howe Springfield Prewar 30/06 Gov
A very nice prewar G&H with a 24” barrel , bright bore and chamber. Hooded and banded front ramp , banded sling swivel , 90 % plus original bluing.
Springfield action with Griffin and Howe double lever side mount with windage and an Hensoldt Ziel-Dialyt 2.3/4 power German post reticule and crisp optics . Lyman 48 rear sight. The rifle weighs 9lbs. 5 Oz . A Monte Carlo stock with a shadow line cheek piece ( the Monte Carlo being fairly unusual and special ordered on a prewar rifle said Paul Chapman at Griffin) . The stock has a Horn tip forend , a nice engraved & checkered trap door butt plate , a steel grip cap and remain in 90% plus original condition on both the finish and the checkering. Length of pull is 13 ¾”. Very accurate with 180 Bullets
