Whether you're in glaring heat or bone-chilling cold, the Model 70 Extreme Sporter Bolt-Action Rifles should provide pinpoint accuracy round after round. Bell and Carlson™ composite stock with one-piece aluminum bedding block is trim, lightweight and ergonomic, and it's reliable in temperatures from -50°F to 140°F. Sculpted cheekpiece ensures proper eye-to-scope alignment. Pachmayr® Decelerator® pad lessens the recoil felt when shooting magnum cartridges. Pre'-64-type claw extractor with controlled round feed removes cartridges easily and consistently. Cartridge-feed lips are machined as a part of the receiver for the proper feed every time. Three-position safety has a middle position between “fire” and “safe” that locks the firing pin, yet allows the bolt to be operated for added safety when checking the chamber or unloading.
