The Erfurt Luger is, as you know, the only P-08 ever produced in the government arsenal of which it is named. In the eight years of manufacturing the arsenal made approximately 520,000 lugers, or around 21% of all P-08s made.
This is one of the cleanest ones I have seen in a long time.The condition of this is one is great. It retains about 95+% of the original finish. The little loss there is, is from some sharp edge silvering, some very slight side plate wear and a few very minor pin pricks. No rust, scratches or rub marks anywhere. All parts match including the grips. The left side has the proper military Erfurt proof markings on the slide. The is true for the barrel which also has the chamber measurement. The strawed parts have retained about 98% of their original color. The side plate, take down lever side and bolt also have all the proper proofs.
The matching walnut grips are also flawless. The slide rails, bolt face and feed ramp show only minor wear. The barrel is great, it is mirror bright and razor sharp rifling with just a touch of light scattered frost. It comes with one proper non-matching wooden based magazine, A beauty for the collector /investor and great fun at the range.
