Description:
This Winchester Garand ser No. 2499767 was mfg abt 8/44 has original stock (T-2B) w/faint but partially legible cartouche (See Pics). The barrel is marked w/ " - L" and D35448 WRA. The action is very firm and cycles properly. The gun metal is the dark very smooth parkerizing that was typical of Win for that period. The stock is an original type and shows some
light handling marks just below the ferrule and just below the breech. There are no cracks or othe marking - overal very nice for an original stock. This Winchester has had the MWO
(Modification Work Order B21-W3 dated March 1,1944 which specified that a diagonal saw cut was to be accomplished for purposes of was to "resolve movement problems of gas leakage".

The muzzle measures - 2 1/2 and the throat '3'.
